Free Sell Through Rate Calculator
Calculate the sell-through rate for one product — free, instant, no signup required.
That's one SKU. What about the rest of your inventory?
Inventory Assassin analyzes your entire inventory file, identifies the products tying up the most cash, ranks what deserves attention first, and recommends what to do next.
Analyze My Entire Inventory →What this calculator tells you
What share of the units you received for one product have actually sold, and what remains in stock — in units and, optionally, in cost and revenue terms.
How the calculation works
Sell-Through Rate = (Units Sold ÷ Units Received) × 100
Units remaining, estimated cost remaining, and revenue generated are all optional add-ons once cost and/or retail price are provided.
Example
100 units received, 62 sold, $8 unit cost, $20 retail price:
- Sell-through rate = 62 ÷ 100 × 100 = 62%
- Units remaining = 38 → Estimated cost remaining = 38 × $8 = $304
- Revenue generated = 62 × $20 = $1,240
How to interpret the result
There is no single universal “good” sell-through percentage. What counts as strong depends on the product category, how long the selling period was, and seasonality — a 60% sell-through after one week is very different from 60% after a full season.
When this metric can be misleading
Comparing sell-through across products with very different selling periods, launch dates, or price points can be misleading on its own. Pair it with sales velocity for a fuller picture.
